The ingredients needed to make Crispy beef:
  1. Take 1 pound lean round steak, sliced very thin
  2. Prepare 4 eggs
  3. Prepare 4 Tbsp cornflour (added 1 tsp of cornstarch to white flour)
  4. Get Salt
  5. Prepare 4 Tbsp hot chili sauce
  6. Prepare 2-3 Tbsp honey (I like spicy more than sweet)
  7. Take 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  8. Take 2 large carrots, sliced very thin (I used my peeler to shave these)
  9. Get 4 spring onions, cut thin
  10. Prepare 1-1 1/2 C vegetable oil or coconut oil
  11. Get Soba or fettuccine noodles (I didn't have Soba noodles on hand)
  12. Prepare Fresh bean sprouts, if desired

Today we are making a spicy snack from Sichuan. We call it Leng Chi Niu Rou(冷吃牛肉). It is crispy beef fried in spicy, flavorful chili oil. If you like sweet, spicy, crispy Chinese food- this is for you.

Steps to make Crispy beef:
  1. Beat the eggs and add the flour and salt to make batter. Heat the oil in a wok type pan to medium high. Lightly coat the beef and then place in the pan. You have to do in batches because you can't overcrowd the meat in the pan. Cook about 3 minutes a side for a total of 6-7 minutes. The time will vary on how thin you have cut the meat. It should turn nice and brown. Set the meat aside.
  2. Remove all but 2 Tbsp of oil in the pan. Add in the vegies, chili sauce, honey and soy sauce. Cook this for 2-3 minutes on medium high and then add the meat back in and mix all together to get the meat warmed back up.
  3. Put on top of the noodles and serve.

This is because seeds and nuts have a lot of magnesium which boosts your brain’s serotonin levels. Serotonin is a feel-good substance that tells the brain how to feel at any given point in time. The more of it you have, the more pleasant you are going to feel. Nuts, on top of improving your mood, can be a superb protein source.

Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you want to combat depression. Cold water fish including tuna, trout and wild salmon are rich in DHA and omega-3s. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that really help the grey matter in your brain work a lot better. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can seriously boost your mood.

It’s not difficult to drive away your bad mood when you eat grains. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all truly excellent for helping increase your happiness levels. They fill you up better and that can help you with your moods too. Feeling famished can really make you feel terrible! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are not difficult for your stomach to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your glucose levels which in turn brings up your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You just knew green tea had to be mentioned, right? Green tea has a lot of an amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies have shown that this amino acid essentially stimulates brain waves. This will improve your brain’s concentration while also calming the rest of your body. You probably already knew how easy it is to get healthy when you drink green tea. Now you know that applies to your mood as well!

As you can see, you don’t need to consume all that junk food when you are wanting to feel better! Try these suggestions instead!
