Gizzard dodo is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. Gizzard dodo is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.
Gizdodo / Dodo Gizzards are coined names for a Nigerian dish prepared with a combination of gizzards and plantains (dodo). This is one of those recipes "invented" from excesses or in order to reduce food wastage. If you've read through my older posts, you'll know that I love plantains…. a lot. So you bet I also love Dodo gizzards☺.
To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have gizzard dodo using 10 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Gizzard dodo:
- Make ready 1 kg Gizzard
- Get Salt
- Take 1 medium Yellow bell pepper
- Take 1 green Green pepper
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon Curry
- Get 2 Fresh red pepper
- Take Vegetable oil for frying
- Prepare Salt
- Make ready 1 Onion
- Prepare 2 Knorr cubes
You decide which one you rather have. When the gizzard is cooked, transfer to a bowl, leave to cool then cut into bite-size cubes. Dodo with the warm, stewed gizzards. Garnish with chopped green bell peppers and diced onions.
Instructions to make Gizzard dodo:
- Boil the gizzard with onion,salt,knorr cubes and curry.Boil till is soft and chewable.
- Slice the plantain,Sprinkle salt on it.Heat up vegetable oil and fry for just 2minutes.Select out and pour in the gizzard and fry for 3minutes.
- Slice the green pepper,yellow bell pepper,fresh red pepper,onion and pour in.Stir and add salt and curry.
Dodo with the warm, stewed gizzards. Garnish with chopped green bell peppers and diced onions. Serve on its own as a small chop, starter, hor d'oeuvre; or as part of main meal with rice or any other grain of your choice. A serving of Giz-Do Gizdodo, gizzard-dodo, dodo-gizzard all refer to a very popular, fried plantain and peppered chicken gizzard combo. This simple combination actually works because of the different flavours and textures produced individually and collectively by the ingredients used in preparing it.

Cold water fish are great if you are wanting to be in a better mood. Cold water fish including tuna, trout and wild salmon are high in DHA and omega-3 fats. Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that really help the grey matter in your brain work a lot better. It’s the truth: eating tuna fish sandwiches can really help you overcome your depression.
Grains can be good for overcoming a terrible mood. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all excellent for helping you feel better. These foods can help you feel full for longer as well, helping you feel better. It’s not difficult to feel low when you feel hungry! The reason these grains help your mood so much is that they are not hard to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps promote a rise in your glucose levels which in turn brings up your mood to a happier place.
Green tea is actually good for your mood. You were just anticipating to read that here, weren’t you? Green tea is found to be rich in an amino acid called L-theanine. Studies have found that this amino acid essentially induces brain waves. This helps improve your mental energy while at the same time making the rest of your body more relaxed. You already knew green tea could help you feel better. Now you are well aware that green tea helps you to elevate your moods as well!
As you can see, you don’t need to consume all that junk food when you are wanting to feel better! Try some of these hints instead.
